Hello, I'm Daniella.
I am an observer.
Someone who believes the most meaningful photographs aren't created but recognized.
My work is a way of preserving what was already there: connection, presence, light, and those moments that should be remembered after they've passed.
Roots
I was born in Cuba and came to the United States with half of my family as a teenager. Leaving the other half behind taught me to treasure each moment, because we never truly know which embrace will be the last.
Before I picked up a camera, I studied classical piano and later contemporary composition at Berklee. Music taught me to notice rhythm, silence, and space—the same elements I now seek through my lens.
My instinct has always been that if another human being has learned to do something, perhaps I can learn it too. This led me to graduate studies in marketing and finance, and it continues to shape the way I approach both photography and teaching mathematics. Whether I'm in a classroom or behind a camera, I'm drawn to the same idea: helping people see beauty with a little more clarity.
Outside of photography, you'll find me with family, lovingly harassing my dogs and cats, watching a beautiful film or practicing Italian on Duolingo. If you ask me about the dream I'm most excited to fulfill, my answer is taking my mom and dad to Florence.
